Spring is nearing, and that means prom season in Guilford County is coming up soon! Guilford County high school students will be excitedly making plans, but some kids in need may be afraid they won't be able to attend their prom because they can't afford a proper suit or dress.
That's where Guilford Youth Council (GYC) steps in to help. GYC will be collecting donations of gently-used formal wear and accessories from February 25th through March 31st. Through the programs Camille's Closet and Theo's Threads, the donated items will provide much-appreciated prom attire for any Guilford County high school student in need.
Items most in need are:
- Plus size dresses - sizes 16 and up
- Dress shirts and pants
- Shoes - all sizes for both young men and women
- Accessories - purses, ties, and jewelry
Items can be dropped off at the following locations:

And guys, if you have some nice shirts, suits, ties, or dress shoes, please donate them to Theo's Threads and let a young man escort his date in style!
Pop-up shops will be open April 11-13. For guidelines about donations, pop-up shop hours and locations and other info, call 336-373-4351 or visit https://www.greensboro-nc.gov/CamillesCloset
